All of our DJs have been professionally trained by Jerry Cooper (Owner of Sound Spectrum Entertainment) to meet the expectations set forth by the company. We take extra effort to fully train each of our DJs to ensure their best performance. Each entertainer is taught to work as an Emcee, be a quality entertainer, and utilize their music & timing to enhance their performance.
We carry a complete Music Library of music from the 1940′s (Big Band Era) through current music of today. We customize each show to fit the needs of our clients. Our DJs hold a consultation with the contracted clients prior to the event, in order to best serve your personal needs.
Each DJ is equipped with a complete Sound System, Wireless Microphone, and Lighting Package. (Effects Lights / Club Lighting) We also provide our clients with our entire Database of Music and all the materials you need to plan for your event. Your selected DJ will meet with you once we receive your paperwork to go over details. (All paperwork is due 30 days prior to your event.)

Wedding & Corporate Level DJs
These DJs are the highest ranked DJs available. They are professional M/Cs and are experts at entertaining their audience. They use their experienced knowledge of reading their audience as well as any music requests by their clients or guests to make their events memorable. The experience level of these DJs allows them to cater to any event with minimal instruction.
They use strategic and timely decisions to keep people on the dance floor. They are preferred by clients that want nothing but the best and wish to have their DJ provide the best performance based on their experience.
Jerry “DJ of the Stars” - Owner and Disc Jockey
A veteran Disc Jockey and entertainer since the 1980′s, Jerry is a professional M/C and provides the very best party music for his clients for any type of event – from Wedding Receptions to Major Corporate Events. Jerry started his career as a Radio personality in California and on the Armed Forces Radio Network from 1983-1989.
Jerry’s also a veteran Nightclub DJ in the 80′s through the early 90′s, turning to mobile entertainment and forming Sound Spectrum Entertainment in 1992. Starting out as a solo performer with SSE, he has built Sound Spectrum Entertainment to it’s current status. His unique style of mixing and his true professionalism as M/C has build him a client base of over 500 Individuals and Corporations over the last decade. Jerry is considered one of the best.
Some of Jerry’s past clients include: Rex Grossman (Chicago Bear’s Quarterback) Brooke Lorenz (Colt’s Cheerleader) Eddie Cheever (Indy Car Driver & Owner) and Lynda Moore (Anchor WTHR Channel 13). He currently works with EMMIS Communications (B105.7 Lite Rock, & 97.1 Hank FM) to provide entertainment for their mobile events, which include Nascar’s Dodge Racers and Sky Concert as well as programs the music, and uses the top Sound Spectrum Entertainment DJs to M/C the annual Convention Center Bridal Show.

Mark
Mark, Over 20 years of experience, & one of our most requested DJs. He has entertained for every type of venue; From the most exquisite wedding to the “just for fun” party, he will provide the perfect atmosphere for your event. Mark is currently the 2nd half of the dynamic team (Along with Tamara) of M/Cs to host the annual Convention Center Bridal Show. Anyone that has seen him perform at this annual event, knows the type of entertainer he really is. Mark is definitely one of a kind —- Very outgoing and energetic. His clients rate him as “an OSCAR winning performance”
Tamara
Tamara (Lovely Wife of Sound Spectrum Entertainment owner Jerry) is very high in demand. She is one of the most requested entertainers our company has to offer and is highly rated. An energetic & fun entertainer, Tamara truly feels the energy of the music she plays, and it shows. Tamara is highly recommended by her past clients and on the Knot.com. She makes it a point to provide just the right mix of music to keep you and your guests jumping all night long. Tamara always remains sensitive to her client’s needs and requests. Joe
Sound Spectrum Entertainment proudly welcomes Joe to our group. Joe is a 22 year veteran and previous owner of his own DJ company out of Kalamazoo Michigan. He is a consummate professional with the talent and voice to match. Joe has the ability to smoothly transition and incorporate events, songs, and activities, into a cohesive, interactive, memorable, and worry free celebration. He is one of the best in the business. Steve
Steve has been entertaining for over twenty years as a DJ entertainer. He is a veteran DJ that knows what to play and when. He is personable and has the ability to please crowds of all ages! He plays what you want to hear!
Steve has a vast library of music from the ’40s to the present. Steve can be very motivating or completely contemporary. His clients call back repeatedly asking for him. Let Steve cater to you.
Jon
Sound Spectrum proudly welcomes back Jon. Jon was part of our group back in the last 90′s before enlisting in the military and serving over in Iraq. He maintained his talent as a DJ while in the service performing whenever possible to his fellow Marines. He did this with very limited equipment and for no pay, just to keep moral up. Jon is an awesome young man that is ready to start catering again to the Indy crowd. Dedicated and personable, Jon is a great entertainer for any party!
Mike
Mike has over 20 years of experience as a professional Disc Jockey. He is a consummate professional in our industry and has played just about every type of event imaginable. From the most elegant Weddings & Corporate functions, to your Private Parties, School Dances, and countless hours at various Nightclubs. With a comprehensive music library, programming finesse, and the experience to read your crowd, Mike’s talent will help your event take on a life all it’s own. He always works with you and your other event professionals to facilitate a smooth and wonderful event.
Shawn
Brother-in-law of Sound Spectrum Entertainment owner Jerry, Shawn has been involved & trained in the DJ Business since he was a teen. He has mimicked Jerry’s style of mixing and is a very talented entertainer.
He plays all of Today’s music as well as the Classic hits from other decades. Shawn is dedicated and is a crowd pleaser.
Josh
Josh is a music lover and he simply loves his job as a DJ. He is fully equipped with music from the past five decades and is ready to play whatever your heart desires. Josh is full of energy and is great for wedding receptions to general parties.

Chris
Chris is the newest member to join our group. A recent graduate from Danville high school and currently a college student, Chris will do anything to have a good time. He plays all of Today’s music which includes Hip Hop, Pop, & Country. (Clean radio edit versions only!) And has a general knowledge on music from other decades. Chris is very personable and is perfect for any Teenage or Young Adult event from School Dances, Graduations, to Birthdays and General Parties.
General Party and Teen DJ’s
These Level DJs are younger DJs with under 10 years of experience. They rely on playlists & requests provided by their clients and guests to ensure their audience get the music they prefer. They are developing their skills as an M/C as well as reading their audience. These DJs are great for clients that wish to be very involved and provide their DJ with an extensive playlist or requests. Clients usually hire these DJs for non-formal events (for example birthday parties, class reunions, school dances, walk-a-thons, and family functions.
These DJs are not are not available for Weddings or Corporate Events!
Brianna
Daughter of Sound Spectrum Entertainment owner Jerry, she is the queen of hip hop and Top 40 music. Working alongside her dad for a number of years, Brianna is experienced well beyond her age.
She is great for any teen event or birthday party. Brianna is a very popular entertainer with her generation.
Herman
Herman brings a true variety to each of his clients. A new face here in Indy, Herman was a Radio Personality for the past 3 years in Maryland. Herman gives a true meaning to “A Sure Thing” when it comes to professionalism. He provides just the right flair for any event. If you are ready to dance and romance, look no further than Herman.
Ralph
Ralph has a gift for entertainment. He appeals to all crowds with his versatile hit music selection and charismatic personality. A professional Disc Jockey for 3 years, as well as a performer at various Night Clubs. Ralph has earned his veteran standing in appealing to a variety of audiences.

Rex
Hip-Hop til your drop. Rex is definately your Hip-Hop and R&B connection. Equipped with all the Urban, Club, Rap, and Dance hits of today as well as the classic Motown, Funk, and Soul hits of yesterday, Rex is ready to party with you.
A young and energetic DJ, he has the talent to keep you and your friends going all night long.
Tim
A second year student at IUPUI, Tim’s music mixes fits all moods and occasions. He is young and energetic. He is creative with his ideas in making sure his clients participate. He appeals to all ages and has entertained for close to three years. Tim is always willing to accommodates your requests. Specializing in music of the 90′s through today, Tim is a good plan.
Dominic Jerald “Lil DJ” (Available in the year 2020)
The newest addition to the Cooper Clan, Dominic Jerald Cooper, born on December 29, 2005 to Jerry and Tamara Cooper is the last of five children born into a family of Disc Jockeys. He will be ready to party like is brother Chris “Lil Coop” listed above for future clients by his 15th birthday. He has little choice, but to be raised in the world of music surrounded by his Father, Mother and Brother – all DJs for Sound Spectrum Entertainment. Already a heart throb as an infant and sure to be one as a teenager, Lil’ DJ is sure to be a hit in the future. Watch for this little guy to grow to be one of the best!
